Comprehensive Financial Planning
Amicus Financial Advisors LLC believes in comprehensive financial planning. We spend the time necessary upfront to get to know you and what is important to you in life. We familiarize ourselves with every aspect of your financial life and then analyze and integrate this information into a financial plan. This plan will include smart strategies to meet your goals by reducing risk, increasing investment returns, and using sensible ways to save money on insurance, taxes and expenses.
During the financial planning process, we go at your pace, never pushing or selling. Your goals become our goals, and our success depends on the degree of financial peace you feel as you progress toward your milestones. We recognize the honor of being entrusted with your personal information and your family’s financial future. We find joy in helping you achieve financial freedom so that you can enjoy all that life has to offer, worry-free.
To help you maximize your investing success and after-tax total return, we consider your risk profile, cash flows, assets, and goals then prepare a personalized Investment Policy Statement (IPS). Your IPS forms the strategic framework to focus our efforts on diversification, asset allocation, and minimizing expenses and taxes. Your IPS guides our selection of securities and sets guidelines for future actions. We strive to help you to sleep at night, knowing your investments are productive and aligned with your goals.

We understand estate planning from your perspective – and your family’s. Our estate planning specialists review your current plan, ensuring it is appropriately designed and reflects your current wishes, factoring in tax reduction and business succession strategies. We assist you with sensitive issues like selecting guardians for your children, ensuring a designated person will handle your financial affairs if you become unable to do so, and planning for after you are gone. We confirm that beneficiaries named on your pensions, retirement accounts, insurance policies, and trust are up-to-date.
If your documents need updating, we work with your estate planning attorney to coordinate your estate plan with your overall financial plan. If you do not have an estate planning attorney, we can help match you with one. At your request, we provide financial statements and family information to your attorney so that the time you spend together is more keenly focused on your needs and those of your loved ones.
Employee Benefits Planning
If your employer provides you with benefits, we will thoroughly review those options and how they apply to you. We can help you make elections that will maximize the value of these benefits to you and your loved ones. Employer provided benefits can be as much as 30-40 percent of your compensation. Failure to understand and take advantage of your options can be costly to you and your family. In assessing your employer provided benefit options, we will take into account your risk tolerance and future financial goals.
If you are a small business, we can help you choose the employee benefits planning package that’s right for you and your employees.

The Amicus Process
From there, you provide us, through additional conversations and a written questionnaire, information about your financial goals, objectives, priorities and values. We discuss, in detail, your current financial status.
A comprehensive financial plan is then developed that will include a personalized investment plan based on your risk tolerance, time horizons and tax situation. We meet with you as often as it takes for you to feel comfortable with the plan and investment policy statement (IPS).
While you are then under no further obligation, most clients then entrust us with the management of their money. We implement the plan set forth in your IPS and continually measure, monitor and manage your account.
You receive monthly statements from the custodial firm, a quarterly statement from Amicus and an annual review of your account, as well as periodic updates.
